Product Description
The Hikvision 8MP AcuSense DVR: 8 Channel, 16 IP Camera Inputs (IDS-7208HUHI-M1/XT) is a hybrid digital video recorder (DVR) in a 1U case, meaning one rack unit tall. It records analogue and IP cameras on the same unit, so an existing system can be extended without replacing every camera.
What it records
- Inputs: 8 channels that adapt between HDTVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS and IP signals.
- IP expansion: up to 16 IP camera channels, each up to 8MP.
- Recording limits: 4K/8MP at 8 frames per second (fps), or 3K/5MP at 12fps. Expect a slower frame rate at the highest resolution.
- Compression: H.265 Pro+, which reduces storage use compared with older codecs.
- Playback decoding: up to 24 × 1080p at 30fps.
Analytics
AcuSense uses deep learning to classify humans and vehicles, which helps cut false alarms from general motion. You can run facial recognition on 4 channels or perimeter protection on 8 channels. AcuSearch works across 8 channels. Motion detection and HDTVI two-way audio are supported on all channels.
Storage and display
- One SATA (Serial ATA) bay for a hard disk drive (HDD) of up to 12TB.
- Further storage can be added over the network with NAS (network attached storage) and iSCSI.
- HDMI output up to 4K; VGA output up to Full HD.
What you still need
Cameras, cabling and a hard drive sized to your retention time. Higher resolutions and more channels increase storage demand.
