Hikvision 8-ch PoE 1U K Series AcuSense 4K NVR

The Hikvision 8-ch PoE 1U K Series AcuSense 4K NVR (DS-7608NXI-K1/8P) is a network video recorder (NVR) with eight built-in Power over Ethernet (PoE) ports. Plug an IP camera into a port and it gets power and data over one cable. No separate power supplies are needed at the cameras.

What the numbers mean

• 8 channels, 80 Mbps incoming: eight cameras, with a combined input of up to 80 Mbps. Outgoing bandwidth is also 80 Mbps.
• Records up to 12 MP — supported recording resolutions run from 12 MP down to QCIF. Recording needs a hard drive, sized to your camera count and retention period.
• H.265+/H.265/H.264+/H.264: newer codecs generally need less storage than older ones for the same picture.
• Playback of 8 channels at once.

Decoding limits

With AI off: 1-ch@12 MP, 2-ch@8 MP, 4-ch@4 MP or 8-ch@1080p (all 30 fps). With AI on: 1-ch@12 MP, 1-ch@8 MP, 3-ch@4 MP or 6-ch@1080p.

AcuSense analytics

By camera (all channels): perimeter protection, motion detection 2.0, ANPR (number plate recognition), VCA, and throwing objects from building. By the NVR itself: motion detection 2.0 covers 1-ch at 4 MP (or up to 4-ch at 4 MP / 8 MP with enhanced SVC mode enabled); perimeter protection by device covers 1-ch at 4 MP.

Facial recognition: face capture, face picture search and face picture comparison (up to 4 channels). The face library holds up to 16 libraries and 20,000 pictures in total (each ≤ 4 MB, total ≤ 1 GB); detection performance is 1-ch at 8 MP.
