Product Description
The Hikvision DS-7616NXI-K2/16P(E) 16-Channel PoE AcuSense 4K NVR records up to 16 IP cameras and has 16 PoE ports built in. PoE (Power over Ethernet) sends power and data to a camera over one network cable.
What the headline specs mean
- 16 PoE ports (IEEE 802.3af/at): compatible cameras plug into the back of the recorder and are powered and configured from it. Those 16 cameras do not need a separate PoE switch.
- Up to 16MP recording, with 16MP on channel 1: MP is megapixels, the pixel count of each picture.
- 160Mbps in, 160Mbps out: the network bandwidth for incoming and outgoing traffic.
- H.265+, H.265, H.264+, H.264: the compression formats it supports. They affect how much footage fits on a drive.
- Two SATA interfaces, up to 16TB per HDD: you can fit two hard drives of up to 16TB each.
- HDMI and VGA, independent outputs: two monitors can run at once. HDMI reaches 3840 × 2160 at 30Hz.
- Decoding with NVR AI disabled: 3 channels at 12MP, 5 at 8MP, 10 at 4MP or 16 at 2MP. Synchronous playback covers 16 channels.
Analytics
AcuSense classifies humans and vehicles. It adds perimeter protection and Motion Detection 2.0 to cut alerts from non-target movement. Facial detection and face-picture comparison are included. AcuSearch playback works across all channels when the cameras support AcuSearch.
ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) and AcuSearch are camera-side functions. They need compatible cameras with those functions enabled.
