Product Description
The Hikvision 16-ch 8 MP 1U H.265 AcuSense DVR (iDS-7216HUHI-M2/XT) is a digital video recorder (DVR) for up to 16 cameras. It has two hard disk drive (HDD) bays in a 1U case.
What the specs mean in use
- Five input types, detected automatically: HDTVI, AHD and CVI are high-definition analogue formats that run over coax. CVBS is standard-definition analogue video. IP cameras connect too. You do not set each channel by hand.
- IP cameras on up to 32 channels, each up to 8 MP: 8 MP is the 4K class of picture. IP cameras need a network connection to the recorder.
- Recording: up to 4K/8 MP at 8 frames per second (fps), or 3K/5 MP at 12 fps. Fewer frames per second means smaller files but less smooth motion.
- Playback decoding: up to 24 streams of 1080p at 30 fps, so several cameras can be viewed at once.
- AcuSense analytics: deep-learning software runs either 4-channel facial recognition or perimeter protection on 8 to 16 channels, depending on the version.
- AcuSearch: filters saved footage on 8 to 16 channels, depending on the version.
- All channels: motion detection, plus two-way audio on HDTVI cameras.
What else you need
Hard drives, chosen for the number of cameras and how many days of footage you want to keep. Cameras that match one of the five input types.
