Product Description
The Hikvision 16-ch 1080p 1U H.265 DVR (DS-7216HGHI-M1) is a digital video recorder for mixed analogue and IP camera systems. It takes 16 analogue channels and can add IP cameras up to 18 channels, at up to 5 MP each.
What it records from
- Analogue inputs: HDTVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS, so existing coaxial cabling can stay in place.
- Cable run: up to 1200 m for a 720p HDTVI signal.
- Encoding: up to 1080p Lite at 15 fps.
- Audio: over the coaxial cable from compatible cameras, plus RCA input and output.
Storage and compression
It uses H.265 Pro+, H.265 Pro or H.265 compression. These reduce file size, so a given drive holds more footage. There is one SATA bay, up to 10TB. You need to fit a drive for recording.
Viewing and alerts
- HDMI and VGA outputs work at the same time, up to 1920 × 1080.
- A 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port handles remote viewing, playback and setup through Hik-Connect and compatible software.
- Motion Detection 2.0 sorts human and vehicle targets from other movement such as shadows, rain or moving vegetation. This cuts false alarms.
The 1U case is one rack unit high.
