Product Description
The TruHD Cat6A RJ45 U/FTP LSFH Network Cable White is a ready-made Ethernet cable with an RJ45 connector fitted at each end. The SKU gives the length as 1 m.
What the specs mean
- Cat6A – built to the Category 6A specification, so it suits Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet links.
- U/FTP – each twisted pair has its own foil screen. This helps reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk (signal leaking between pairs), which matters where many cables run close together, such as equipment racks.
- LSFH (Low Smoke Free Halogen) – the jacket is designed to limit smoke and avoid halogen gases in a fire. Check your site's fire-safety rules to see whether you need it.
- Pre-terminated RJ45 – no field termination. Plug it straight between devices such as switches, routers, patch panels and computers.
- White jacket – keeps the cable tidy in structured cabling, such as offices and server rooms.
What else you need
A cable only carries the speed the equipment supports. For 10 Gigabit, both ends must be 10 Gigabit-capable ports. For Gigabit, ordinary Gigabit ports are enough.
If you are cabling PoE (Power over Ethernet) cameras, you will also need a PoE switch or recorder with enough power budget for the cameras.
