Product Description
The 5m Cat6 Ethernet Cable - High-Speed RJ45 Patch Lead (White) (SKU RJ45-NETWORK-CABLE-CAT6-5M-W) is a 5-metre network lead with an RJ45 connector at each end. You may also see it called a LAN cable, patch cable or flylead.
What the specs mean for you
- Category 6, up to 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps): a gigabit-rated link between two wired devices, including devices on a CCTV network. Both ends need RJ45 ports to plug into.
- 250 MHz frequency: the bandwidth rating for Cat6.
- UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair), 8 cores in 4 pairs: there is no metal screen around the pairs.
- Stranded, 7 strands per core: the conductors are made of several fine strands, which makes the lead easier to bend and coil than a single-strand core.
- LSZH (low smoke zero halogen): the cable is built to give off little smoke and no halogens if it burns.
Connector design
The flush moulded boots keep each connector as slim as possible, which helps where ports sit close together. The snagless boots protect the latch clip, yet you can still reach the clip to release the plug. A flexible moulded collar provides strain relief where the cable meets the connector.
The white finish suits light-coloured walls and equipment.
