Product Description
The Cat6 Ethernet Cable - High-Speed RJ45 Network Patch Lead (1m) is a short blue lead with an RJ45 plug at each end. RJ45 is the standard 8-pin Ethernet connector.
What the specs mean in use
- 1m (3.28ft) length: reaches between devices that sit close together, such as home, office or CCTV equipment, with little slack left over.
- Cat6, U/UTP: the pairs are twisted to limit electromagnetic interference. U/UTP means unshielded twisted pair, so there is no screen.
- 250MHz supported bandwidth: the frequency range the cable is rated for.
- 24AWG copper conductors: AWG is American Wire Gauge. 24AWG is the conductor thickness.
- 5.8mm PVC jacket: a slim outer sleeve that is easy to route.
- 69mm minimum bend radius: keep curves wider than this to avoid kinking the cable.
- Connectors: RJ45 male at both ends, polycarbonate housing, gold-plated copper alloy pins. Each plug measures about 11.6 × 22.8 × 8.3mm.
- Temperature: operates from -10°C to 60°C and can be stored from -20°C to 75°C.
What else you need
Both devices need an RJ45 Ethernet port. If the two units are more than a metre apart, you will need a longer lead.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does U/UTP mean?
It stands for unshielded twisted pair. The wire pairs are twisted, but the cable has no shielding layer.
How tightly can I bend this cable?
The minimum bend radius is 69mm (2.72in). Keep bends wider than that.
What temperatures can it handle?
It operates from -10°C to 60°C (14°F to 140°F). Storage range is -20°C to 75°C (-4°F to 167°F).
What connectors does it have?
RJ45 male at both ends, with polycarbonate housings and gold-plated copper alloy pins.
