Product Description
The Cat6 Ethernet Cable - High-Speed RJ45 Network Patch Lead (3m) is a ready-made blue cable, 3m (9.84ft) long, with an RJ45 male connector on each end. It suits home and office networking, connecting office equipment, and CCTV system installations.
What the specs mean for you
- Cat6, 250MHz bandwidth. Cat6 is the cable category. 250MHz is the signal frequency it is rated for. Attenuation (signal loss along the cable) is 32.8dB per 100m at 250MHz.
- U/UTP, no shielding. The twisted pairs have no foil or braid around them.
- 24AWG copper conductors. AWG is American Wire Gauge, a measure of conductor thickness. The conductors are copper.
- Gold-plated copper alloy pins inside a polycarbonate housing. The connector measures about 11.6×22.8×8.3mm (0.46×0.90×0.33in).
- PVC jacket, 5.8mm (0.23in) across. The blue colour makes this lead easy to pick out among other cables.
- Minimum bend radius 69mm (2.72in). Keep curves wider than this when routing.
- Operating range -10°C to 60°C, storage -20°C to 75°C.
What else you need
Both ends need a device with an RJ45 socket, such as a router, PC or network equipment. This lead is a fixed 3m length, so measure the gap between your two devices first.
Certified to RoHS, REACH, UL and California Proposition 65. Supplied in a polybag.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this Cat6 patch lead shielded?
No. It is U/UTP, which means unshielded twisted pairs with no foil or braid.
What connectors does it have?
RJ45 male on both ends, with gold-plated copper alloy pins and a polycarbonate housing.
How tightly can I bend it?
The minimum bend radius is 69mm (2.72in). Tighter curves than that should be avoided.
What bandwidth does it support?
It is a Cat.6 cable supporting 250MHz, with nominal attenuation of 32.8dB per 100m at 250MHz.
