The Hikvision DS-2CD1343G2-LIUF/SL 4MP Smart Hybrid Light PoE Turret Camera is a fixed turret network camera for entrances, perimeters and open areas. Here is what each headline spec means in use.
What the specs mean
- 4MP, 2560 × 1440: a 1/3" progressive scan CMOS sensor. More pixels give you more image detail to work with when identifying people or objects.
- 2.8mm fixed lens, 98° horizontal view: a wide picture that suits a doorway, driveway or garden boundary. The angle is fixed, so position the camera with the view in mind.
- Smart Hybrid Light, up to 30m: infrared (IR) gives night vision. White light switches the picture to full colour, depending on conditions and motion events.
- Two-way audio: a built-in microphone and speaker. An audible warning and flashing light can be triggered by classified events.
- Human and vehicle detection: the camera classifies what it sees, so alerts can be tied to those two types of event.
- Compression: Supported codecs include H.265+, H.265, H.264+ and H.264. H.265+ reduces bandwidth and storage use.
- IP67 weatherproof housing: rated for outdoor mounting.
What else you need
Power: PoE (Power over Ethernet) to IEEE 802.3af, so you need a compatible PoE switch or recorder port. Alternatively, use a 12V DC supply.
Recording: each camera takes one channel on a Hikvision NVR (network video recorder) or an ONVIF-compatible video management system. ONVIF is an open interoperability standard. For local storage, the onboard microSD slot accepts cards up to 512GB.
