Product Description
The Hikvision DS-2CD1383G2-LIU 8MP Smart Hybrid Light PoE IP Turret Camera Mic is a fixed-lens network camera that sends video and sound over one Ethernet cable. Here is what each headline spec gives you, and what else the system needs.
Spec, result, requirement
- 8MP, 3840 × 2160 on a 1/2.7" progressive scan CMOS sensor. That is four times the pixels of a 1080p image, so recorded footage holds more detail when you zoom in. Your recorder needs to accept 8MP streams.
- 2.8mm fixed lens, 113° horizontal view. A wide picture that suits an entrance, yard or open perimeter. The lens does not zoom, so choose the mounting position with care.
- Smart Hybrid Light, up to 30m. Infrared and white light, switched automatically by ambient light and detection events. No separate illuminator is needed.
- Built-in microphone. Audio is recorded in step with the video. Check that your recorder is set to store audio.
- Human and vehicle detection. Filters out false alarms from animals and environmental movement.
- H.265+ compression. Lowers bandwidth and storage use. You still need to size the recorder's drive for the number of cameras.
- Power: PoE (Power over Ethernet) IEEE 802.3af, or 12V DC. Use a PoE switch or recorder port with enough budget, or a 12V DC supply.
- IP67 weatherproof turret housing for indoor and outdoor mounting.
Compatibility
It works with Hikvision NVR (network video recorder) systems and ONVIF-compatible video management platforms. MPN: DS-2CD1383G2-LIU-2.8MM-W.
