The Dahua WizSense XVR5104HS-I3 4 Channel 4K AI Penta-brid CCTV DVR (SKU DH-XVR5104HS-4KL-I2) is a four-channel digital video recorder (DVR). It takes analogue and IP cameras on the same unit, with AI analytics built in.
Cameras it accepts
- HDCVI, AHD, TVI, CVBS and IP inputs, so a mixed analogue and IP system is possible.
- IP cameras up to 8MP. Analogue recording up to 4K.
- ONVIF-compatible devices can connect over the network.
What the AI does
- Face recognition: a database of up to 20,000 face images, processing up to 8 face images per second. Real-time recognition runs on two channels.
- SMD Plus (Smart Motion Detection): classifies humans and vehicles on all four channels, which cuts false alarms from irrelevant motion.
- Perimeter protection: tripwire and intrusion detection, with secondary object classification.
Storage and viewing
- One SATA hard disk drive (HDD) connection, up to 10TB.
- H.265+ and AI Coding compression make better use of that single drive.
- HDMI output up to 4K, with VGA output at the same time.
- Remote monitoring through Dahua DMSS software.
Planning notes
You need to supply a SATA drive of your choice, up to 10TB. Face recognition covers two channels, not four, so decide which two cameras matter most. The recorder suits retail, office, warehouse and commercial sites.
