Product Description
The RG59 CCTV Cable 10m BNC Video with DC Power Shotgun Lead for Camera to DVR (RG59P-CABLE-10M) is a ready-made 10m lead. A "shotgun" lead bonds a video coax and a power pair into one harness, so you route one cable to the camera instead of two.
What is on each end
- Video: 75Ω RG59 coax with a BNC male plug at both ends. BNC is the twist-lock video connector found on analogue-style cameras and recorders. The plugs are factory-fitted, so there is no crimping and no baluns (signal adapters).
- Power: a red/black two-core DC pair. The camera end has a 2.1mm DC plug. The recorder end has a matching 2.1mm DC socket or bare tails, for feeding 12V DC from a central power supply.
- Signal types: analogue, HD-TVI, AHD and CVI video.
Where it fits
It links a single camera straight to the video input of a DVR (digital video recorder) or NVR (network video recorder) over BNC. Moulded strain-relief on the BNC and DC connectors protects them from repeated handling. The external-grade PVC jacket suits internal runs and sheltered external routes, provided the cable is clipped and supported.
What else you need
- A camera with a BNC video output and a 2.1mm DC power connector, rated for 12V.
- A free BNC video input on the recorder.
- A 12V power supply. DC extension leads or splitters can be added where power is distributed from one point.
