PRO RG59 Coaxial Cable 100m Reel Black Single Core CCTV

The PRO RG59 Coaxial Cable 100m Reel Black Single Core CCTV is bulk coax for carrying analogue video from a camera back to a recorder.

What the specs mean on site

• RG59, single core: one central conductor, wrapped in insulation and shielding. The shielding is there to reduce interference on the video signal.
• 100 metres on a reel: you cut each run to length at the camera point. Several cameras can come off one reel.
• Black outer jacket: described for indoor and outdoor installations. It gives the cable mechanical protection.
• Analogue video: used between cameras and DVR (digital video recorder) units or monitoring equipment. It is also used on HD-TVI, AHD and CVI systems that need a coaxial run.

What else you need

This is cable only. The reel is not pre-terminated, so each cut length needs connectors fitted to suit your camera and recorder. Count your camera points and measure each route first. That tells you whether 100 metres covers the job or you need a second reel.

Check each camera's power arrangement separately. Voltage drop on long runs can cause flickering or a black image at night, so match the power adapter rating to the cable length.
