Product Description
The Hikvision Modular IP Video Intercom Door Station 2MP Fisheye PoE IP65 (SKU DS-KD8003-IME1(B)-NS) is the main unit of a modular entry system. It holds the camera and the lock outputs. Call buttons, card readers and keypad units are added around it.
What the specs mean at the door
- 2 MP fisheye camera. Two megapixels, with a wide lens that covers the whole entrance point instead of a narrow strip.
- Infrared (IR) supplement. Built-in infrared lighting keeps the picture usable in low light at night.
- Standard PoE. Power over Ethernet sends power and data down one network cable, so no separate mains feed is needed for the station.
- Two-lock control. One station can operate two separate door locks.
- 12 V, 500 mA lock output. This powers one electronic lock directly, so that lock needs no extra power supply.
- Stainless steel, IP65. IP stands for Ingress Protection. The rating covers dust and water ingress, and the unit is designed for external installation.
- Web configuration. Setup and maintenance are done remotely through a web interface.
What else the system needs
A PoE source on the network, such as a PoE switch, to feed the station. The extra modules you want at the entrance: call button, card reader or keypad unit. A lock suited to the 12 V, 500 mA output, or a separate supply if your lock needs more.
