Hikvision DS-KV8213-WME1(C) – 2-Button PoE Villa Door Station

The Hikvision DS-KV8213-WME1(C) – 2-Button PoE Villa Door Station packs a camera, two call buttons and a card reader into one panel measuring 174 × 91 × 29 mm and weighing about 0.370 kg.

What the specs mean at the door

• 2 MP camera, 1920 × 1080 main stream: full 1080p video, with a 640 × 480 sub stream also provided.
• Field of view about 124° horizontal, 75° vertical: a wide picture, so visitors are seen without standing exactly in front of the lens.
• Digital WDR (wide dynamic range) about 76.9 dB: balances bright and dark areas in the same frame.
• IR (infrared) night vision to about 3 m: the lit area directly in front of the panel.
• Two physical call buttons, plus a built-in omnidirectional microphone and loudspeaker. Audio uses G.711 U/A with noise suppression and echo cancellation.

Access control and wiring

A built-in MIFARE reader (13.56 MHz) handles up to 2,000 users and 10,000 cards. Two relays control locks. There are also 4 alarm inputs, door contact inputs, a tamper switch and exit button inputs.

Power and network

The panel takes PoE (Power over Ethernet) to IEEE 802.3af through its RJ-45 10/100 Mbps port and draws under 10 W. You need an 802.3af-capable switch or injector on the cable run. 2.4 GHz WiFi (IEEE 802.11b/g/n) is available as an optional connection.

Configure it from a web interface or the Hik-Connect app. The weatherproof housing is rated IP65 (dust and water resistant) and IK08 (vandal resistant), for -40 °C to +53 °C and 10% to 95% non-condensing humidity.
