The Hikvision DS-KV8413-WME1 4 Button IP Video Intercom Door Station puts a camera, speaker, card reader and four call buttons in one aluminium alloy housing. It is built for villas, apartments and small multi-user residential properties.
What the specs mean at the door
- 4 call buttons, up to 4 indoor stations. Each button calls one indoor station, so visitors ring the household they want. It suits a small shared entrance or a multi-tenant home.
- 2MP HD camera with IR illumination. 2MP means 2 megapixels. IR (infrared) lighting lets you identify visitors in low light as well as daylight.
- Integrated Mifare card reader. Authorised users unlock the door with compatible access cards. Access can be managed for up to four indoor station users.
- Noise suppression and echo cancellation. The audio processing is there to keep two-way speech between visitor and indoor monitor clear.
- Aluminium alloy, IP65 and IK08. IP is the ingress protection rating, which covers dust and water. IK is the impact rating. Together they make the unit suitable for outdoor installation.
What else you need
- Power: either PoE (Power over Ethernet, which carries power and data on one network cable) or a 12V DC supply. A PoE route needs a PoE source on the network.
- Indoor stations: one for each button you plan to use, up to four.
- Cards: Mifare-compatible cards for the reader.
Built-in WiFi helps with setup without complex wiring, and web configuration handles system management.
