Product Description
The Hikvision DS-2DE4425IW-DE 4MP 25× PTZ Network Camera IR 100m is a pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera for watching large areas from a single mounting point.
What the specs mean on screen
- 4 MP progressive scan CMOS sensor: a high-resolution picture for car parks, warehouses, public spaces and building perimeters.
- 25× optical zoom, 4.8–120 mm motorised varifocal lens: the lens moves from a wide scene to a distant object. 16× digital zoom adds closer inspection in live view or playback.
- IR up to 100 m: built-in infrared (IR) lighting for imaging in low light or darkness.
- 360° continuous pan, 90° tilt: the head turns fully round. Presets and patrol patterns let it cycle through several areas on its own.
- H.265+ / H.265 / H.264+: compression formats that reduce bandwidth and storage use.
- microSD slot, up to 256 GB: local recording on the camera itself.
- IP66 weather-resistant housing: built for outdoor installation.
What else you need
This is a network camera, so it connects over a network to a recorder or viewing software. Your recorder needs to support the compression format you choose.
IR LEDs draw more power at night. A weak power supply or a long, poor-quality cable can cause flicker or a black screen after dark.
It suits city surveillance, perimeter monitoring, transport hubs, industrial sites and large commercial properties.

Frequently Asked Questions
How far does the infrared night vision reach?
The built-in IR illumination reaches up to 100 m.
Can it record without a recorder?
It has a microSD card slot that takes cards up to 256 GB for local recording.
How far can the camera pan and tilt?
Pan is 360° continuous and tilt is up to 90°. It also supports preset positions and patrol patterns.
Why might a camera flicker or show no image at night?
Unstable power is a common cause, because IR LEDs draw more current after dark and a long or weak cable can drop voltage. A stuck IR cut filter is another.
