Product Description
The Hikvision 4-inch 2 MP 25X Powered by DarkFighter Analog Speed Dome (DS-2AE4225T-A) is a pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera for HD-TVI systems. HD-TVI is a format that carries high-definition video over coaxial cable, so it suits sites where analogue cabling is already in place. No IP network is needed.
What the specs mean on screen
- 2 MP, Full HD 1080p output: a 1920 × 1080 picture sent to your recorder.
- 25× optical zoom, 4.8mm to 120mm: the wide end covers a broad area. The long end closes in on a distant subject, such as a far corner of a car park or yard.
- Pan and tilt: one camera can be steered across several zones of interest.
- 120 dB WDR (wide dynamic range): helps when a bright background, such as a window or floodlight, sits behind the subject.
- Powered by DarkFighter: Hikvision's low-light imaging technology.
- True Day/Night with automatic IR cut filter: colour by day, monochrome in low light. Smart IR (infrared) lighting is built in, and it is designed to avoid overexposing nearby subjects.
- IP66: water and dust resistant.
What else you need
- A compatible Hikvision HD-TVI DVR (digital video recorder). Pan, tilt and zoom are controlled through it.
- One DVR channel for the camera.
- Coaxial cable between camera and recorder.
Typical uses are car parks, industrial sites, warehouses and public spaces, where the ability to zoom in on demand matters more than a fixed view.
