The Hikvision 4K ColorVu PoC Fixed Mini Bullet Camera (DS-2CE12UF3T-E) records at 8 MP, 3840 × 2160. That is a lot of pixels for picking out detail at building entrances, perimeters and industrial or commercial sites.
What the specs mean on screen
- Fixed lens, 2.8 mm, 3.6 mm or 6 mm. The 2.8 mm gives the widest view of the three, suited to a room or yard. The 6 mm narrows the view to reach further. Match the lens to the distance you need to cover.
- 130 dB true WDR (wide dynamic range). Keeps detail visible when the scene is strongly backlit, such as a doorway facing bright sun.
- 3D DNR (digital noise reduction). Reduces grain for a cleaner, sharper picture.
- Night imaging. White light reaches up to 40 m for bright night imaging, with 24/7 colour imaging. Integrated infrared (IR) illumination reaches up to 80 m, and True Day/Night uses an IR cut filter to switch between colour by day and infrared-assisted monochrome in low light.
- IP67 housing. Dust and water resistant, for indoor or outdoor mounting.
What else you need
The camera outputs HD-TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS (composite video, the older analogue format). You need a recorder that accepts one of those formats, plus coaxial cable. To record at the full 3840 × 2160, the recorder must accept 8 MP input. Because the formats include CVBS, it can also replace a camera on an existing analogue run.
