Product Description
The Hikvision 4K Two Way Audio Fixed Turret (DS-2CE78U0T-LPTS) is an 8MP HD-TVI turret camera for analogue CCTV. It sends video over coaxial cable, so an existing coax run can be reused.
What the specs mean on screen
- 3840 × 2160 (4K) maximum resolution: four times the pixels of a 1080p picture, for finer detail in the frame.
- 20 m white light: lights the scene so night footage can be in full colour.
- 30 m infrared (IR): black-and-white night view without visible light.
- Smart Hybrid Light: combines both light types. Modes are set to suit your needs and your recorder.
- Built-in microphone and speaker: the camera can pick up sound and play back a voice from the recorder end, using audio over coax. No separate audio cable is needed.
- IP67 rating: water and dust resistant, with ceiling or wall mounting indoors or outdoors.
What else you need
- A Hikvision DVR (digital video recorder) that supports audio over coax. Audio must also be enabled for that channel in the DVR settings.
- A DVR channel for each camera, and a recorder able to accept the video format you use.
- The camera outputs TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS, so it can work with a range of analogue recorders.
For full-colour night viewing, open the camera's on-screen display (OSD) menu through the DVR. Go to the lighting settings and choose White Light. On IR, night images are black and white.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will two-way audio work with any Hikvision DVR?
Not necessarily. It needs a compatible Hikvision DVR that supports audio over coax, with audio enabled for that channel, and some camera and DVR pairings may still not support audio properly.
How do I get full-colour night images?
Open the camera's OSD menu through the DVR, go to the lighting settings and select White Light. If it is set to IR, the night picture is black and white.
What video formats does it output?
It supports TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS, with a maximum resolution of 3840 × 2160.
