Product Description
The HDMI Extender over Cat6 30m: RJ45 TX and RX Kit, 1080p moves an HDMI picture up to 30 metres along Cat5e or Cat6 network cable. HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is the video connection on most recorders, monitors and TVs. Use this kit when the screen has to sit further from the source than a long HDMI lead is practical.
What you get
- Transmitter (TX) – connects to the source: computer, DVR (digital video recorder), NVR (network video recorder), media player or TV box.
- Receiver (RX) – connects to the display: monitor, HDTV or projector.
- RJ45 LAN ports on the units, so the run between them is ordinary network cable.
What the specs mean on site
- 30 m – the maximum distance between TX and RX.
- Full HD 1080P – 1920 × 1080 pixels, the picture quality carried to the display.
- Video and audio travel together over the same cable, so no separate audio run is needed.
- Plug and play – no software to install and no configuration.
Where it fits
It is commonly used for CCTV monitoring screens, conference rooms, home theatre and digital signage. In each case the display is placed away from the video source.
