One HDMI-compatible source in, two screens out. The 2 Way HDMI Splitter 4K UHD HDMI 1x2 Distribution Amplifier (SKU HDMI-SPLITTER-2WAY-4K, also listed as DZ000059) copies the signal to two sink devices with no loss of quality.
What appears on the screens
- Up to 1920x1080 at 60Hz. The "4K UHD" in the name does not raise this. The unit is HDMI-compatible version 1.4a, so both displays show Full HD at most.
- Colour and 3D: 24bit, deep colour 30bit and 36bit, Full 3D, xvYCC colour, and Blu-ray at 24/50/60fs plus HD-DVD sources.
- Sound: DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD, DTS, Dolby AC3 and DSD, including HD (HBR) formats.
- CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) is supported. Signal retiming rebuilds the signal timing before it is sent on.
Signal figures
- Bandwidth peaks at 225MHz, and the baud rate tops out at 2.25Gbps.
- TMDS (transition-minimised differential signalling) input and output: 0.5~1.5V p-p (TTL).
- DDC (display data channel) input and output: 5V p-p (TTL). p-p means peak-to-peak.
Cable lengths
The input side takes up to 15 m and the output side up to 20 m, both on AWG26 HDMI-compatible cable. AWG26 is a conductor thickness rating.
