2-Way HDMI Splitter Cable – 1080P HDMI Male to Dual Female 1 in 2 Out Adapter for HDTV, PS3, LED, DVD Players & LCD Projectors

The 2-Way HDMI Splitter Cable – 1080P HDMI Male to Dual Female 1 in 2 Out Adapter takes one HDMI source and routes it to two displays via a single male connector splitting into two female outputs.

What it actually does

Only one output is active at a time — this is a signal router, not a simultaneous mirror or extend solution. Choose which connected screen displays the picture rather than expecting both to show video together.

Resolution and connections

Video is carried at up to 1080p, matching HDTVs, LED TVs, DVD players, PS3 consoles and most LCD projectors. Connectors are gold-plated, which helps signal transmission at the contact point.

Compatibility limits

This adapter does not support HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection), so sources or displays that enforce HDCP handshaking may refuse to output picture. It is also not compatible with MacBook devices. Check your source and display against these two points before ordering, particularly with copy-protected content such as Blu-ray players or streaming boxes that rely on HDCP.

Where it fits

Useful for a CCTV or general AV setup where a single HDMI-out recorder or player needs to reach two separate screens in turn — for example a monitor in one room and a second display elsewhere — without running two separate source devices.
