Product Description
The 12V DC CCTV Male and Female Power Connector Plug and Socket Adapter (SKU FEMALE-POWER-SCREW-RD) is one DC male plug and one matching female jack. Together they let you terminate or extend the low-voltage power cable on a CCTV (closed-circuit television) system.
What each spec means in practice
- Male plug and female jack, supplied as a pair. You can fit a connector to each end of a lead you are building, or put a plug and socket in the middle of a cable to make it separable or longer.
- 5.5mm outer / 2.1mm inner diameter. This is the barrel size of the DC power connection on the CCTV cameras, DVRs (digital video recorders), NVRs (network video recorders) and LED power systems that use it. Equipment with a different barrel size will not mate with this pair.
- 12V DC. Intended for 12 volt direct current supplies, the type used to power CCTV cameras and recorders.
- Cable mount design. The conductors are held securely in the connector. The aim is a stable electrical contact, which reduces power loss at the joint.
What else you need
The pair includes the connectors only. You supply the low-voltage power cable and a 12V DC power supply.
