Product Description
The CAT5e to BNC Male Power Plug Balun Connector Adapter for CCTV Cameras (SKU WIRE-TO-MALE-BNC-PLUG-RED-PRO) has a male BNC connector on one end and stripped wires on the other. It is red, colour-coded for CCTV wiring.
What you get
- Male BNC connector on one end. BNC (Bayonet Neill–Concelman) is the twist-lock plug used for analogue video. It mates with a female BNC socket on a camera, monitor or recorder.
- Stripped wires on the other end. You terminate these to your cable run.
- Red colour-coding. Easy to spot in a junction box or on a bench, which helps when you are tracing or labelling connections.
- Listed as suitable for indoor and outdoor CCTV installations.
What else you need
A balun converts a signal between twisted-pair cable (such as CAT5e) and coaxial video. So you will need a CAT5e or other CCTV cable to connect the stripped end to, and a device with a female BNC socket at the other end.
The adapter is described as compatible with a wide range of CCTV cables. Check that your cable and the equipment at each end suit the connection you are making before you terminate.
