Product Description
The HDMI-compatible Extender 1080P RJ45 Ports LAN Network HD Extension 30m Over CAT5e/6 UTP LAN Ethernet Cable for HDTV Monitor is a transmitter and receiver pair. It carries HDMI video and audio over network cable, so a monitor can sit well away from a DVR (digital video recorder) or NVR (network video recorder) without a long HDMI lead.
What the specs mean for you
- Up to 30 metres between the two units, reached with CAT6 cable.
- 1080P – Full HD output at the receiving end.
- 2.5 Gbps signal rate – the speed of the link between transmitter and receiver.
- IEEE-568B wiring – the network cable must follow this standard.
- HDCP not supported – HDCP is a copy-protection system. If your source needs it, this pair is not the right choice.
- No setup, no external power supply – connect the pair and it works.
What else you need
- An HDMI source, such as an HDMI-compatible DVR or NVR.
- An HDMI display, such as a monitor or television.
- A CAT5e or CAT6 UTP (unshielded twisted pair) cable between the RJ45 ports on the transmitter and receiver.
The units are compact and always work as a pair. They suit CCTV monitoring, AV installations and control room set-ups where the equipment is far from the screen.
