Product Description
The HDMI Extender Over Ethernet RJ45 - Cat5e/Cat6 - 1080P Full HD – 30m (100ft) Transmitter & Receiver Kit + 2x EU PSU carries an HDMI picture and its sound down one network cable. Use it when the screen is too far from the source for an ordinary HDMI lead.
What the specs mean in use
- Up to 30m (100ft): the source and the display can sit that far apart, joined by a single RJ45 cable.
- 1080p at 60Hz: Full HD video. This is a 1080p maximum, so 4K is not supported.
- Cat5e or Cat6 cable: either works. Cat6 pure-copper cable is recommended for best performance.
- HD audio: DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD, DTS and Dolby Digital are supported.
- EDID copy: EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) is how a display tells a source what it can show. Copying it helps the source match the TV, monitor or projector.
What you need to add
- A source with an HDMI output, such as a PS4, PS5, Xbox, Sky box, Apple TV, Fire TV, Blu-ray player, PC or laptop.
- A TV, monitor or projector with an HDMI input.
- The Cat5e or Cat6 cable run between the two units.
- Two mains sockets, one per unit.
In the box
1 × transmitter, 1 × receiver, 2 × 5V power adapters (EU type) and 1 × user manual.
It is plug-and-play. No software, drivers or network switch are needed. It is also listed for DVR (digital video recorder) and NVR (network video recorder) monitor setups, home theatre, classrooms and digital signage.

No. It is plug-and-play, with one cable run between the transmitter and the receiver. No drivers, software or switch are needed.
