What the spec means on site

• Cat6 U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair): supports 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet, so it's fine for Gigabit links between a switch, NVR (network video recorder) and IP cameras. The twisted-pair construction cuts crosstalk between the four internal pairs.
• PoE (Power over Ethernet): the same cable carries data and power to cameras, so you don't need a separate power run — check your PoE switch or injector's total power budget before loading up many cameras on one reel.
• Solid copper conductors: consistent electrical performance along the run, which matters over longer cable lengths.
• PE (polyethylene) outer sheath: suited to outdoor routing — through conduit, external walls, or underground duct.
