Product Description
The 20m Cat6 RJ45 U/UTP Ethernet Network Cable (Blue) is a ready-made patch lead with an RJ45 plug on each end. It joins two network ports, such as a recorder, switch, router, camera or PC. Its listed uses include home networks, offices and CCTV installations.
What the specs mean in use
- 20m (65.62ft) length: one continuous run, so no coupler is needed for a typical room-to-room or cabinet-to-device distance.
- Cat6, 250MHz bandwidth: rated for gigabit speeds, up to 1000Mbps. Both devices need gigabit ports to reach that speed.
- U/UTP: unshielded twisted pair. There is no metal screen, so route it with normal care around mains cabling.
- 24AWG copper conductors: AWG is American Wire Gauge, a measure of conductor thickness.
- Nominal attenuation 32.8dB/100m at 250MHz: the rated signal loss over distance.
- 5.8mm PVC jacket, blue: the colour helps you tell this lead apart from others in a busy cabinet.
Connectors and handling
Both ends are RJ45 male, with a polycarbonate housing and gold-plated copper alloy pins. Each connector measures approximately 11.6 × 22.8 × 8.3mm. It works with Cat5 devices too.
Keep the minimum bend radius of 69mm in mind when dressing the cable round corners. Operating temperature is -10°C to 60°C. Storage temperature is -20°C to 75°C. The cable is RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant.

Will it work with Cat5 devices?
Yes, it is backward compatible with Cat5 devices.
How tightly can I bend it?
The minimum bend radius is 69mm, so keep curves wider than that.
What speed does it support?
It supports up to 1000Mbps (gigabit) with a bandwidth of 250MHz.
