Product Description
The Outdoor Network Cable, Solid Copper Cat6 U/UTP, 1m Black is a Connectix Ethernet cable (MPN CAT6-CONNECTIX-1M-BLACK-0.52MM). It is one metre long, so it suits patching and short network connections.
What the specs mean for you
- Cat6 U/UTP: Category 6, unshielded twisted pair. The twisted pairs help reduce crosstalk, which is signal leaking between pairs.
- Solid copper conductors: built for stable Gigabit Ethernet and power delivery to PoE (Power over Ethernet) devices such as IP CCTV cameras and wireless access points.
- 10/100/1000 Mbps: the cable supports up to Gigabit speed. Both devices need Gigabit-capable ports to use it.
- Black PE sheath: polyethylene outer jacket, resistant to moisture and environmental exposure. It suits outdoor installations, conduit routing and protected external runs. It can also be used indoors.
What else you need
The cable works with RJ45 connectors, keystone modules, patch panels and network cabinets. For a PoE camera, the other end must connect to a PoE-capable switch or similar source. For longer distances, you will need a longer cable.
It is also listed under the code RJ45-CAT6-1M-REEL-BLACK-23AWG.
