The Universal Junction Box CCTV Camera Mount (Indoor & Outdoor/ Waterproof/ White) is a round aluminium alloy junction box, 100mm in diameter and 45mm deep. It sits between the camera and the wall and gives the cable joints somewhere to live.

What the specs mean

• Waterproof: yes. Connections inside are protected from water and dust.
• Indoor and outdoor use. One box type covers both, so a mixed install doesn't need two parts.
• Two outlets for side wiring. Cables leave from the side of the box rather than straight out of the back.
• Screws and cable glands included. A cable gland is the fitting that grips a cable where it enters the box and seals the opening.
• White finish. It is neutral, so it sits quietly against pale walls, soffits and ceilings.

Fitting notes

The box is described as a universal fit for a wide range of CCTV cameras. Check that your camera's base fits within a 100mm round face and that its cable can be routed through the box.

The design allows access for camera adjustment and maintenance, so you can reopen the box later without removing the whole mount.

The box holds joints only. You still need the camera, its cable run and a power supply, plus fixings suited to your wall surface.
