Hikvision DS-1280ZJ-DM46 Junction Box for Dome Cameras, Indoor & Outdoor Use, Load Capacity 4.5kg, White

The Hikvision DS-1280ZJ-DM46 Junction Box for Dome Cameras, Indoor & Outdoor Use, Load Capacity 4.5kg, White (SKU DS-1280ZJ-DM46-W) sits behind a compatible Hikvision dome camera and holds the cable connections inside an enclosure.

What each spec means in practice

• Aluminium alloy: a metal enclosure that is durable but light enough to handle easily during installation.
• 4.5 kg load capacity: the most the box is rated to carry. That is 4,500 g, so keep your dome camera's weight at or under it.
• Bottom cable entry: network and power cables come in from underneath. The connections stay inside the box, hidden from view and shielded from environmental exposure.
• Indoor and outdoor use: one part for either location.
• White finish: matches Hikvision camera housings, so box and camera look like a pair.

Where it helps

On a solid wall or ceiling there is often little room to route cable. The junction box gives the connections somewhere to sit, so the wiring is not left on show. It suits residential, commercial and industrial CCTV (closed-circuit television) systems.

What else you need

This is a mounting and cable-management accessory. It does not replace the camera, so you need a compatible Hikvision dome camera, plus the network and power cabling for it.
