Product Description
The Hikvision DS-1280ZJ-DM55 is a junction box that sits behind a compatible Hikvision dome camera, giving you a mounting base plus somewhere to hide the cable connections.
What it actually does
Cable enters through the bottom of the box, so power and network leads run up into the enclosure rather than trailing across the wall or ceiling. That keeps the connectors out of sight and out of the way once the dome camera is fixed on top.
Build and load
It's made from aluminium alloy, chosen here for strength without adding much weight to the mount. Maximum load capacity is 2kg — check this against your camera's own weight before fitting, since the box is the only thing carrying that load once installed.
Fit and finish
Suitable for indoor and outdoor CCTV installations. The white finish is intended to match Hikvision dome camera housings, so it sits inline with the housing rather than standing out as a separate bracket.
Practical note
This is a mechanical mounting and cable-concealment accessory, not a camera in its own right — it's built to work with compatible Hikvision dome cameras, so it's worth confirming your dome model before ordering.
