Texecom P15-W Capture Series, Ricochet Wireless PIR Detector, 15m, Wall Mount, White

The Texecom P15-W Capture Series, Ricochet Wireless PIR Detector, 15m, Wall Mount, White (SKU Texecom-P15-W-GDA-0001) is a motion detector for an intruder alarm. It senses movement and signals the alarm system. It is not a camera and does not record video.

What each spec means in the room

• 15m range, 90° volumetric coverage: a fan-shaped zone reaching 15 metres out, spread across 90 degrees.
• Dual element pyro: pyro is short for pyroelectric, the heat-sensing part inside. PIR (passive infrared) means it reacts to heat moving across its view.
• EN50131-2-2 Grade 2: the European standard for intruder alarm motion detectors. This unit is rated to Grade 2.
• Optional PetWise mode: a setting for rooms where pets are present.
• Ricochet mesh technology: Texecom's wireless system, described as commercial grade wireless performance. In a mesh, devices can pass signals along through one another rather than each needing a direct link.
• Finish: white.

What else you need

This is a Ricochet device, so it belongs on a Texecom system that supports Ricochet. It is wall mount, so pick a spot with a clear view across the area to be covered. Each detector covers one 90° zone, so count one per area on a multi-room job.
