Texecom GHA-0001 Ricochet Connect Series, Wireless White Magnetic Micro Contact-W

The Texecom GHA-0001 Ricochet Connect Series, Wireless White Magnetic Micro Contact-W tells an alarm panel when a window or door moves, using radio instead of cable. It is built to disappear: small enough to be concealed within most uPVC (unplasticised polyvinyl chloride) window frames.

What each spec means in practice

• Micro size: the body is compact enough to sit inside most uPVC frames, so little or nothing shows on the opening.
• Ricochet mesh technology: Texecom's wireless system. There is no cable to run to the window or door.
• EN50131-2-6 Grade 2: the grade this contact is rated to under that European standard for intruder alarm components.
• 4-year typical battery life: plan a battery check around that interval. "Typical" means real life will vary.
• Adhesive or screw fixing: stick it where drilling is unwanted, or screw it down where you want a firmer fix.
• LED-assisted setup: an LED (light-emitting diode) guides you through the setup procedure.

What it needs to work

The contact must pair with a Premier Elite control panel, a Premier control panel or a Ricochet Expansion Pack. An expansion pack is the route for adding it to an existing Texecom system.

Colour is white. Product code: Texecom-GHA-0001, also listed as GR-Texecom-GHA-0001-LN.
