Product Description
The Seagate 1TB HDD 3.5 Inch SATA Hard Drive, ST1000DM010 is a Barracuda hard disk drive (HDD) for storing CCTV footage or PC data. It is compatible with all DVR and NVR surveillance systems and is suited to 24/7 continuous recording.
What the specs mean for you
- 1TB capacity: 1,000GB of space for recordings. Camera count and resolution decide how long that lasts.
- 3.5-inch form factor: the full-size drive format, not the smaller laptop type.
- SATA III interface: Serial ATA, the connection that carries data between the drive and the recorder or motherboard.
- 7200 RPM: the platters spin 7,200 times a minute (revolutions per minute) for fast, reliable performance.
- 64 MB cache: a small memory buffer on the drive that helps smooth data transfer.
The drive is silver and made in Thailand.
What else you need
Bought with any of our CCTV kits or packages, the drive arrives fully installed and ready to go before dispatch, so there is nothing to fit yourself. Your recorder must accept a 1TB drive.
The drive also works with desktops, servers, NAS (network attached storage) devices and external enclosures, which need a 3.5-inch SATA connection.
