Product Description
The 3TB HDD 3.5 Inch SATA Hard Drive for CCTV Recorders (model HDD-3TB-3.5-R) is a storage drive for the recorder in your CCTV system. It is sold for installation with any of our CCTV kits and packages, and it is fitted before dispatch.
What the specs mean
- 3TB capacity: the space your recorder has for footage. How long that lasts depends on your camera count, resolution and frame rate.
- 3.5-inch form factor: the full-size drive format used in desktop-style bays.
- SATA III interface: Serial ATA, third generation. It is the connection between the drive and the recorder, built for high-speed data transfer.
- 7200 RPM: the platters turn 7,200 times a minute, which suits continuous writing.
Where it works
It is listed as compatible with all DVR (digital video recorder) and NVR (network video recorder) systems. It also works with desktops, servers, NAS (network attached storage) devices and external enclosures, so a spare can be reused outside CCTV.
It is intended for 24/7 continuous recording and general data storage.
What you need
A recorder, or a kit that includes one, with a 3.5-inch SATA connection. If you buy it with one of our kits or packages, it arrives installed and ready to go.
