Product Description

The RJ45 HDPV 8MP video balun is a passive signal converter designed for transmitting CCTV video signals over twisted pair network cable. It allows analogue HD camera signals to be carried through Cat5e or Cat6 cable, replacing traditional coaxial cable in surveillance installations.

The balun converts the BNC coaxial video signal to an RJ45 connection, enabling video transmission through standard Ethernet cabling. This method simplifies installation and allows longer cable runs with reduced cabling cost compared with traditional coaxial wiring.

Designed to support high-definition CCTV systems up to 8MP, the balun is compatible with modern analogue HD technologies including HD-TVI, AHD and CVI cameras. It is commonly used in pairs, with one unit connected at the camera and the other at the DVR input.

The passive design requires no external power supply, making installation straightforward and reliable. These video baluns are widely used in CCTV installations, security systems and video surveillance networks where twisted pair cabling is preferred.
