CQR CABTP2X2/GY/LSF100 Belden Equivalent LSZH Data Cable, Type 8723, 2 Individually Screened Pairs, CPR Euroclass Eca, 100m Reel, Grey

The CQR CABTP2X2/GY/LSF100 Belden Equivalent LSZH Data Cable, Type 8723, 2 Individually Screened Pairs, CPR Euroclass Eca, 100m Reel, Grey is screened data cable for runs where Belden Style 8723 is the reference. Here is what each part of the name means on site.

Reading the spec

• Type 8723 equivalent. It is made to the Belden Style 8723 type, so it can be matched to a schedule or an existing run that names that style.
• 2 individually screened pairs. There are two pairs of conductors, and each pair has its own screen. A screen is a conductive wrap that reduces electrical interference picked up from nearby cabling.
• 100% copper cores. The cores are copper throughout.
• LSZH sheath. LSZH stands for low smoke zero halogen. In a fire, the grey sheath gives off low smoke and fume.
• CPR Euroclass Eca. CPR is the Construction Products Regulation. Eca is the reaction-to-fire class this cable carries under it.

Planning the run

One reel is 100 m. Measure the route, including the climbs and drops, and compare the total with that length before you order.

This is cable only. You will still need the equipment at each end and the connectors or terminations that suit it. Check that a two-pair screened cable matches what your design calls for.
