Product Description
The 4 Port Gigabit POE Extender 1000M Network Switch Repeater IEEE802.3af/at Plug&Play for PoE Switch NVR IP Camera AP (GoodTop, SKU PoE-Extender-Repeater-4-Port-Gigabit-1000M, also listed as POE013GS) takes a Power over Ethernet (PoE) connection and passes power and data on for a further 100m (328ft).
What the specs mean on site
- 1 input, 3 outputs: one cable in from the PoE source, up to three devices out.
- IEEE 802.3af/at: the PoE standards covered by its ports.
- 30W maximum input, 25W total output: the three outputs share 25W. Each port supplies up to 15.4W, so three devices at full draw will not all fit. Add up their load first.
- 10/100/1000 Mbps auto-adaptation: each port matches the speed of the device plugged into it, up to Gigabit.
- VLAN isolation on output ports 1-3: a VLAN (virtual local area network) keeps traffic on those ports separate, which supports network security.
- 3-level cascade: you can chain extenders three levels deep, which cuts the number of long cable runs back to the source.
What you need alongside it
The extender has no power supply of its own. Connect it to a PoE device first, such as a PoE switch or an NVR (network video recorder) with PoE ports. Use Cat5e cable at minimum. Cat6 is recommended for steadier data and power.
Setup is plug and play, with no configuration. The unit is wall mountable.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a separate power adapter needed for this PoE extender?
No. It has no power supply of its own, so it must be connected to a PoE device first.
How much power can the three outputs supply?
Total output is 25W, with up to 15.4W on any one port. Maximum input is 30W.
Which network cable should I use?
Use Cat5e at minimum. For dependable data transfer and steady power delivery, Cat6 is the preferred choice.
Can I chain more than one extender?
Yes. It supports 3-level cascade, which can reduce wiring difficulty on remote runs.
