Product Description
The Hilook 5 MP turret camera (THC-T250-M-R) is a 5 MP (megapixel) Turbo HD mini turret for entrances, corridors and other key areas. It connects to a compatible DVR (digital video recorder) over coaxial cable.
What the specs mean in use
- Lens: fixed 2.8 mm or 3.6 mm, depending on the variant supplied. The lens does not zoom. As a rule, the shorter 2.8 mm gives a wider view, and the 3.6 mm a narrower, closer one.
- Night vision: infrared (IR) to 20 metres. The picture is colour by day and black-and-white under IR at night. Smart IR adjusts infrared exposure so nearby subjects are clearer.
- Housing: metal and plastic, IP66-rated for outdoor weather resistance.
- Image processing: Digital Wide Dynamic Range (DWDR) for scenes with bright and dark areas, plus digital noise reduction.
- Video output: switchable between HD-TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS (analogue composite video).
- Power: 12V DC.
What else you need
- A DVR with a channel that accepts the output format you select.
- Coaxial cable between camera and recorder.
- A stable 12V DC supply. IR LEDs draw more power at night, so a weak supply or a long cable run can cause flicker or a black screen after dark.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which video formats does this camera output?
You can switch the output between HD-TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS. It connects to a compatible DVR over coaxial cable.
How far does the night vision reach?
Built-in infrared illumination reaches up to 20 metres. Smart IR helps control exposure on subjects close to the lens.
Why might the image flicker or go black at night?
Common causes are an insufficient or unstable power supply, or voltage drop on a long or poor-quality cable. A stuck IR cut filter can also cause it.
Which lens size will I receive?
The lens is fixed and comes as either 2.8 mm or 3.6 mm, depending on the variant supplied.
