Product Description
The Hikvision 2.8mm Turret Camera, 5MP AcuSense PoE IP67 (DS-2CD3356G2-ISU, MPN DS-2CD3356G2-ISU-2.8MM-W) is a fixed-lens network camera. It records at up to 2592 × 1944 from a 1/2.7" progressive scan CMOS sensor.
What the specs mean in practice
- 2.8mm fixed lens, 98° horizontal view: a wide picture that covers an entrance, corridor or perimeter edge. The view cannot be zoomed or adjusted.
- Infrared to 40m: Smart Supplement Light adjusts illumination to the scene at night.
- 120 dB true Wide Dynamic Range (WDR): helps where bright and dark areas sit in the same shot.
- AcuSense: classifies humans and vehicles to filter false alarms. Line crossing, intrusion and region entry/exit detection are supported, plus face capture.
- Audio: built-in microphone, with audio input and output support.
- H.265+ compression: reduces bandwidth and storage use.
What you need to run it
- Power: PoE (Power over Ethernet) to IEEE 802.3af, or 12V DC. For PoE, use a switch or recorder port that supplies 802.3af.
- Recording: one recorder channel per camera, or a microSD card up to 512GB for onboard recording.
- Cabling: a network cable run back to the switch or recorder.
Build
The IP67 weatherproof metal housing is rated for outdoor use.
