Product Description
This coupler joins two RJ45-terminated Ethernet leads so a network run can be extended without re-terminating either cable.
What it does
Both ends use 8P8C female connectors — the standard RJ45 port — so it works with Cat5e and Cat6 patch leads. It supports Gigabit Ethernet speeds, which covers most IP camera, NVR, switch and router connections used on a CCTV network.
Where installers use it
- Extending a Cat5e or Cat6 run that falls just short of the patch panel or network cabinet
- Joining cable inside junction boxes, thanks to the compact inline housing
- Structured cabling work — patch panels, network cabinets, wall outlets
- CCTV IP camera and NVR installations where a lead needs lengthening without a new pull
What to check before fitting
One coupler joins exactly two leads end to end. Confirm both cables are correctly terminated with standard RJ45 plugs before connecting, and that the run still suits the cable category and network speed you need at each end.
This is a passive inline connector — it does not power a camera or boost signal strength, it simply extends the cable path.
