Product Description
The DC Male Red & Black Power Pigtail 30cm 5.5x2.1mm Barrel Plug CCTV is a 30cm power lead. One end is a male barrel plug. The other end is bare, pre-stripped wire. It carries power from a PSU (power supply unit) to a camera's DC socket.
Key specs
- Plug: male, 5.5mm outer diameter, 2.1mm inner diameter, centre positive. It mates with female DC jacks on analogue HD-TVI (High Definition Transport Video Interface), AHD (Analogue High Definition) and CVI (Composite Video Interface) cameras.
- Polarity: red is positive, black is negative. The colours let you match the supply terminals without a meter.
- Wire: 18AWG (American Wire Gauge) pure copper, supporting 2-5A at 12-24VDC.
- Length: 30cm. That suits short hops between a rack terminal block or junction box and the plug.
- Ends: pre-stripped for screw terminals, crimps or Wago connectors. No soldering needed.
- Insulation: flame-retardant PVC.
What else you need
A 12V or 24V DC supply that matches your camera's rating, and a camera with a female barrel jack. It suits Hikvision and Dahua hybrid systems that use siamese cable or rack-mount DC supplies.
For outdoor use, the connection must sit inside an IP65-rated or better enclosure. The pigtail itself is not sold as weatherproof.
