Product Description
The CAT6/CAT5e RJ45 Ethernet Cable - Fast Speed LAN Lead for Router, PC, PS4, CCTV (SKU RJ45-NETWORK-CABLE-CAT6-5M-BLACK) is a black 5m (16.44ft) patch lead with an RJ45 male plug on each end. RJ45 is the 8-pin network plug found on routers, PCs, games consoles and CCTV equipment.
What the specs mean for you
- Type Cat.6, 250MHz bandwidth. MHz (megahertz) is the signal frequency range the cable is specified for.
- U/UTP construction. Unshielded twisted pair: no foil screen, with the wire pairs twisted to limit electromagnetic interference.
- 24AWG copper conductors. AWG (American Wire Gauge) is the wire-thickness scale; 24AWG is the gauge fitted here.
- Attenuation 32.8dB/100m at 250MHz. Attenuation is signal loss, quoted per 100m.
- Gold-plated copper alloy pins in a polycarbonate housing.
Fitting notes
- Connector body: approx. 11.6×22.8×8.3mm (0.46×0.90×0.33in). Check this against tight port surrounds.
- Jacket: PVC, 5.8mm (0.23in) across.
- Minimum bend radius: 69mm (2.72in). Keep corners gentler than that.
- Operating temperature: -10°C to 60°C (14°F to 140°F). Storage: Rated for temperatures from -20°C up to 75°C (-4°F to 167°F).
To use it, both devices need an RJ45 network port. MPN: RJ45-NETWORK-CABLE-CAT6-5M-BLAC.
