Product Description
The CAT6/CAT5e RJ45 Ethernet Cable - Fast Speed LAN Lead for Router, PC, PS4, CCTV is a 15 metre, black network lead. LAN means local area network: the wired network in a home, office or site.
What the specs mean for you
- 15 m length: long enough to link a device in one room to a router, switch or recorder in another. Measure the real cable route, including corners and height changes, before you pick a length.
- CAT6/CAT5e: these are Ethernet cable categories. The listing names both.
- RJ45 connectors with gold-plated contacts: RJ45 is the plug found on network ports. Gold plating is the contact finish.
- Black finish: it stays discreet against dark skirting, trunking or cable runs.
- Indoor and outdoor use: the cable is described as suitable for both.
Where it fits
It is listed for routers, PCs, PS4 consoles, CCTV (closed-circuit television) installations, and home or office networks.
What else you need
Each end plugs into an Ethernet port, so you need a device with an RJ45 socket at both ends. Examples are a router and a PC, or a network camera and a recorder. Check how your camera gets its power, as that depends on the camera and not on this lead.
Model code: RJ45-NETWORK-CABLE-CAT6-15M-BLACK. MPN: RJ45-NETWORK-CABLE-CAT6-15M-BLA.
