Product Description
A 4-metre CAT6/CAT5e patch cable for the last-metre run between a network device and a wall port, switch or NVR (network video recorder). Dual-rated CAT6/CAT5e means it works on both older CAT5e networks and newer CAT6 kit without needing a separate cable for each.
What each spec means for you
- Length: 4 metres — enough for a desk-to-router run, an NVR-to-patch-panel link, or a switch-to-camera PoE injector connection, not a long backbone pull across a building.
- UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) construction — the twisted pairs cut down electrical interference, which helps keep video streams and data transfer stable rather than dropping out.
- RJ45 connectors, gold-plated — the standard connector for network ports on routers, PCs, PS4s, CCTV cameras and NVRs; gold plating resists corrosion at the contact points.
- Colour: black — a neutral finish alongside other network runs.
Where it fits
This is a patch lead, not a bulk cable for in-wall runs. Use it to join a device to the nearest port, panel or injector. Because it's dual-rated, it will slot into a mixed CAT5e/CAT6 setup without you having to check which standard the rest of the network uses.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this work with older CAT5e network equipment?
Yes — the cable is dual-rated CAT6/CAT5e, so it's backward compatible with CAT5e infrastructure.
Is this cable shielded?
No, it uses UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) construction, which is designed to minimise interference without a metal shield.
How long is the cable?
It's 4 metres, suited to a short run such as NVR to patch panel or router to PC rather than a long backbone pull.
Is this suitable for connecting a CCTV camera?
Yes — it's listed for connecting CCTV systems as well as routers, PCs and PS4s.
