Pyronix EURO46/S-KIT Euro 46 Hybrid Grade 2 Intruder Alarm Kit

The Pyronix EURO46/S-KIT Euro 46 Hybrid Grade 2 Intruder Alarm Kit is a wired-first alarm system that can take wireless devices later. It is graded for homes, small offices and retail environments.

Each spec, and what it means

• Grade 2: the rating covers residential and small commercial property.
• EURO-46 V10 panel, metal enclosure: a compact case with 8 wired zone inputs. A zone is one detection circuit that wired detectors connect to.
• Hybrid: wired and wireless devices can be mixed on one panel. Wireless devices need Pyronix optional communication modules, which are not in this kit.
• LCD keypad with proximity reader: the liquid crystal display (LCD) keypad takes PIN codes or compatible proximity tags to control the system.
• Deltabell-E external sounder: a white lid on a red backplate, for audible alarm signalling outside.
• Twin Alert internal sounder: audible notification indoors when the alarm activates.
• 3 × MEQ Blue PIR detectors: passive infrared (PIR) sensors that detect movement in key areas of the premises.

What to plan for

Three PIRs cover a limited number of areas. The platform accepts additional sensors and detectors, so larger or more complex layouts can be built up from this kit. Cable for the wired detectors is a separate consideration.
