Product Description

The ACM-208C-ID is a Metal Access Control Keypad with RFID Reader, PIN or Card. One unit on the wall opens a door with either a code or a proximity card.

What each spec means at the door

  • PIN entry. A PIN is a personal identification number. Users type it on the numeric keypad, and the backlit buttons stay readable in low light.
  • RFID card entry. RFID stands for radio-frequency identification. Users hold a proximity card to the reader instead of typing. Authorised users are held as stored PIN codes or RFID cards.
  • Metal alloy housing. A metal case for exposed spots such as building entrances, warehouses and gated areas. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor mounting.
  • Wiegand interface. Wiegand is a wiring protocol that passes credential data to a separate controller. Use it when this door must join an external access control system.
  • Lock-side connections. Outputs for an electric lock, exit button, door sensor and alarm interfaces. Those devices are needed in addition to the keypad.

Scale

It works as a standalone unit, so a single door needs no other control equipment. It suits small to medium deployments: offices, apartment entrances, secure rooms and gated facilities.
